Intangible heritage craft from China - Song brocade
Song brocade is one of the traditional Chinese silk crafts, its craft is complex, the product is precious, there is "an inch of song brocade worth an inch of gold",known as the luxury of Chinese clothing. Song Brocade began to form a unique "living color" technique in the Song Dynasty of China. Its raw materials are very precious and the production process is complicated. From silk reeling, dyeing to weaving into finished products, more than 20 processes are required, and craftsmen need to weave thousands of silk threads,only a few inches of Song brocade products can be woven every day. Despite the progress of contemporary technology, its complex and fine production process makes its output still not high. In 2009, it was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
